The 'Future Unicorn Company C-STAR Fostering Project' in Cheonan, Chungnam is achieving tangible results, laying the foundation for creating future growth engines in the region.
According to the city, Xenics Co., Ltd., which manufactures industry-specific unmanned transport robots and smart automated warehouses, is scheduled to be listed on KOSDAQ on the 30th.
To advance its business and develop new technologies, Xenics has assigned more than 40% of its workforce to its research lab, establishing itself as a leading company in the smart logistics and automation sector in line with the rapidly changing era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In particular, the company stands out in autonomous driving technology and AI-based logistics optimization solutions, playing a key role in improving productivity and efficiency across industries.
The C-STAR Project, which provides tailored support aimed at the rapid growth of promising startups in Cheonan, is credited with playing a significant role in Xenics' growth and its upcoming KOSDAQ listing.
As a first cohort member of the C-STAR Project, Xenics addressed its biggest challenge?lack of excellent R&D talent?by connecting and supporting outstanding talent from Hoseo University. In addition, the company was supported through customized programs such as investment attraction, product presentations, wastewater facility demonstration support, and collaboration with local mid-sized companies, helping to fuel its growth.
Following the selection of eight promising startups for the first C-STAR cohort, Cheonan plans to further strengthen network connections and provide opportunities for overseas expansion by selecting six additional companies for the second C-STAR cohort.
Bae Seonggwan, CEO of Xenics, said, "We are delighted to further promote Xenics' technological capabilities through this listing," adding, "We will continue to enhance our competitiveness in the global market through innovative product development and establish ourselves as an anchor company in the region."
