On the 26th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held a meeting at the Bonggok Folk Experience Market Experience Center with the presidents of traditional market merchants' associations from Changwon and Jinhae to discuss ways to strengthen the competitiveness and revitalize traditional markets.

"Revitalize Traditional Markets" ... Changwon Special City Seeks to Boost Local Economy with Traditional Market Merchants Association Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nampyo is holding a meeting with the merchant association presidents.

The meeting was attended by Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Lee Heungjin, President of the Changwon Merchants Association, and about 30 presidents of merchants' associations from Uichang-gu, Seongsan-gu, and Jinhae-gu.


At this meeting, as the difficulties faced by traditional market and shopping district merchants deepen due to high prices, the city and the presidents of the merchants' associations gathered to focus on discussing the challenges and revitalization strategies for traditional markets.

"Revitalize Traditional Markets" ... Changwon Special City Seeks to Boost Local Economy with Traditional Market Merchants Association Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, is cheering with the merchant association presidents.

Lee Heungjin, President of the Changwon Merchants Association, who attended the meeting, said, "Thank you for empathizing with the difficulties of traditional markets and for holding this meeting. I hope the opinions shared here will serve as a catalyst and greatly contribute to the revitalization of traditional markets."


In response, Mayor Hong Nam-pyo stated, "It was a meaningful time to share sincere opinions with the presidents of the merchants' associations. I will thoroughly review the suggestions and do my best to actively reflect them."


Meanwhile, Changwon City also plans to hold a meeting with the presidents of the Masan area merchants' associations in October.
