30 Million Won Donation to ‘Purume Social Farm,’ a Workplace for Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities
"We hope this donation will contribute, even if only a little, to the development of Purme Social Farm as a dream workplace for young adults with developmental disabilities."
On the 26th, Seo Jeong-hak, CEO of IBK Investment & Securities, who participated in volunteer work at 'Purme Social Farm,' a workplace for young adults with developmental disabilities, said this and emphasized, "We will continue to expand ESG management and increase support for neighbors facing difficulties in the blind spots of society."

On this day, CEO Seo Jeong-hak and about 10 members of the IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Volunteer Group visited Purme Social Farm in person to help harvest cherry tomatoes being cultivated. The IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Volunteer Group had also conducted volunteer activities last June to support facility operations and rehabilitation for young people with developmental disabilities.
Purme Social Farm, established by the Purme Foundation in 2022, is Korea's first smart farm-based rehabilitation and independence facility for people with disabilities. Here, agricultural products such as cherry tomatoes are cultivated using eco-friendly methods.
In addition to volunteer work to assist with labor, IBK Investment & Securities donated 30 million KRW to Purme Social Farm. The donation will be used to install water-cooled heating and cooling systems utilizing groundwater heat sources and side-opening devices for greenhouses to enable young adults with developmental disabilities to work in better environments.
Meanwhile, the IBK Investment & Securities Sharing Volunteer Group has been continuously engaged in various social contribution activities, including medical volunteer services in rural areas and support for housing environments for young adults preparing for independence. In the upcoming fourth quarter, they plan to carry out social contribution activities encompassing all social classes, such as a concert for visually impaired musicians, support for single mothers' independence, and economic classes for elementary school students.
