Participation as a One-Day Honorary Member of the Songsan 3-dong Neighborhood Association through 'Donggeun Communication'

Mayor Kim Dong-geun participated as an honorary member for the day at the monthly meeting of the Songsan 3-dong Community Leaders Association on the 25th and delivered a greeting.

Kim Dong-geun, mayor of Uijeongbu City, participated as an honorary member for a day in the monthly meeting of the Songsan 3-dong Tongjang Association (President Jeong Seo-jeong) on the 25th as part of the 'Dong(洞)geun(近) Communication' initiative.

'Dong(洞)geun(近) Communication' is a policy designed for the mayor to directly immerse himself in the neighborhoods (dong) and strengthen communication more closely (geun) with residents.

At the meeting, the current progress of the 2024 Resident Registration Fact-Finding Survey was explained, and promotions were made for the upcoming 'Doran Doran Healing Walk' event and the October Tongjang Association outing.

President Jeong Seo-jeong said, “We appreciate the mayor’s efforts to breathe close to the citizens,” and added, “We hope that the mayor of Uijeongbu City will continue to communicate through exchanges with many organizations.”

Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “We will listen more carefully to on-site opinions and create new growth engines by forming a consensus with citizens,” and added, “We will continue to actively communicate with citizens to alleviate the sense of alienation felt by groups that usually have fewer opportunities to participate in city administration, and do our best to inspire pride in resident representatives as local leaders.”
