Guri City to Hold the 39th Guri Citizens' Day Event on the 10th of Next Month Kim Wankyeom, Director of Administrative Support Bureau, is announcing that the '39th Guri Citizens' Day' event will be held on October 10.

The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 26th that it will hold the "39th Guri Citizens' Day" event at Guri Hangang Citizens' Park on October 10.


"Guri Citizens' Day" is a commemorative day celebrating Guri's promotion from Guri-eup, Namyangju-gun, Gyeonggi Province to a city in 1986. Members of institutions and organizations from each neighborhood and citizens will be invited to create a space for civic harmony.


The event will begin with a performance by the Army Military Academy Band, followed by the entrance ceremony of residents from eight neighborhoods, the opening declaration by Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun, awards presentation, reading of the Citizens' Charter, singing of the city anthem, and closing declaration in order.


Afterwards, the harmony event will be hosted by popular entertainer Jo Young-gu, featuring neighborhood talent shows, and celebratory performances including Park Sang-chul and Yeon-gi, making for a colorful program.


Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, "We will prepare thoroughly to ensure this festival is enjoyable for citizens and do our best to make it an event where citizens can communicate and unite."
