Strengthening Internationalization Capabilities of Glocal University Project
Cooperation in Korean Language Education and Student Exchange Dispatch
Suncheon National University (President Lee Byung-woon) announced that it has signed a follow-up Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mongolian University of Finance and Economics, with which it had previously expanded exchange programs such as student exchanges in April, to strengthen internationalization capabilities for the Glocal University Project through the 'Memorandum of Understanding for Establishing a Global Shared Campus.'
Through this MOU, both universities will collaborate on ▲ Korean language education ▲ dispatch of faculty, staff, and student exchanges ▲ joint cooperation on curricula, meetings, workshops, and practical training ▲ joint research projects for undergraduate and graduate programs ▲ opening and sharing educational facilities. Going forward, both universities will provide the necessary infrastructure, resources, and finances for building the global shared campus and cooperate in forming dedicated organizations.

President Lee Byung-woon of Suncheon National University stated, “Our university, selected by the government as a Glocal University, is actively promoting educational cooperation with various countries and regions,” adding, “Through this global shared campus establishment agreement, Mongolian University of Finance and Economics and Suncheon National University will strengthen a closer and more diverse cooperative system.”
Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, Mongolian University of Finance and Economics has about 6,000 enrolled students and is a leading educational institution in Mongolia, being the first Mongolian university to be selected as an internationally accredited university.
Meanwhile, from July 29 to August 8, the Suncheon National University Mongolia Overseas Volunteer Group visited Mongolian University of Finance and Economics and conducted various educational volunteer activities, including Korean language education and experiences of traditional Korean folk games.
