'Gudoiil' and Police Officer Dance Collaboration

S-OIL (CEO: Anwar Al-Hejazi) produced a collaborative video featuring the character Gudoil and police officers in partnership with the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency (Chief: Jung Sangjin) to prevent 'phishing scams' that induce the leakage of personal or financial information or money transfers. The video was released on September 25 on Instagram (S-OIL: goodoil.soil, Ulsan Police: ulsanpolice).

This video shows S-OIL's 'Gudoil doll' and male and female police officers dancing together to the 'Kkeukkeukkeu Song,' an anti-phishing track produced by the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency.


The "Kkeukkeukkeu Song" is an abbreviation for "Close suspicious links, Hang up on money transfer requests, and Break the thought that you won't be deceived." The song features a familiar melody and simple lyrics that convey tips on how to prevent phishing scams.


Additionally, the intuitive dance move of raising a hand in the shape of a phone to the ear and then hanging up helps citizens easily and enjoyably understand anti-phishing tips and raises awareness.


With incidents of voice phishing and smishing (SMS phishing) on the rise and causing significant financial losses among citizens, the Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency produced the "Kkeukkeukkeu Song" and has been running the "Phishing Prevention Dance Challenge" since September 11 to help prevent such crimes.


Following the participation of the popular influencer Sumaile, Gudoil?one of the most widely recognized and favored corporate characters?joined the challenge, drawing public attention to the campaign and serving as a catalyst for its spread.


An S-OIL representative stated, "As a brand mascot, the character Gudoil strengthens the company's friendly image and acts as a messenger for positive communication, playing a role in contributing good influence to our society. We will continue to do our best to fulfill our public interest role for the community."
