On the 26th, IBK Investment & Securities analyzed that Microdigital is evolving into a leading company in the bio materials and components sector.

Geonjae Lee, a researcher at IBK Investment & Securities, stated in a report on the same day, “On the 23rd, Microdigital announced a single sales supply contract for the Single-Use Bioreactor System (reactor + 3D bag) that it develops and produces,” adding, “The contracting party is presumed to be a new client based in North America, a major U.S. materials and components company engaged in global B2B business.”

Researcher Lee explained, “This supply contract is significant as the company’s self-developed and produced biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment has directly entered the largest global market, North America,” and “Furthermore, with the recent big-step interest rate cut and the passage of the Biosecurity Act in the U.S. House of Representatives, a macro environment conducive to the growth of the domestic bio industry is being established, making the North American market reference a catalyst for the company’s future growth.”

He analyzed, “As the global bio industry grows, North America and Europe are expanding in biopharmaceutical development, while Asia is growing in biopharmaceutical production capacity,” but “the global bio materials and components sector is vertically integrated from alpha to omega by a few key players, blocking the entry of new competitors.”

He continued, “The emergence of new materials and components players is a natural phenomenon due to the growth of the global bio industry and the expansion of biopharmaceutical production in Asia, but new entrants face significant challenges in obtaining ‘field test data’ and ‘global references,’” and forecasted, “The North American reference secured this time will serve as a stepping stone for global expansion, leading to additional orders in Europe and Asia.”
