POSCO Future M Employee Volunteer Activities in Celebration of Sharing Month

Over 900 Employees Participate Nationwide Across Business Sites

POSCO Future M announced on the 26th that it will carry out various volunteer activities at its nationwide business sites in September, the Month of Sharing.


The Month of Sharing is a volunteer activity period conducted every year in the second half of the year since last year by POSCO Future M to strengthen co-growth with local communities.


This year’s Month of Sharing will take place from September 2 to 30, with about 900 employees participating at business sites nationwide including Pohang, Gwangyang, Sejong, Gumi, and Seoul. Specifically, the activities will focus on three themes: ▲sustainable environmental protection ▲support for future generations ▲creating shared value with local communities.

In Pohang, Gyeongbuk, about 160 employees collected marine debris at Cheongnim Beach near the headquarters on the 24th. On the 9th, they visited a welfare facility for the disabled to donate washing machines and tables and carried out facility cleaning activities. On the 12th, they visited households of elderly living alone to personally deliver bread and provide companionship through the Life Bread Sharing activity.


In Gwangyang, Jeonnam, about 90 employees conducted environmental cleanup activities at the Yulchon Industrial Complex, where the cathode active material factory is located, on the 10th. On the 24th, about 80 employees carried out environmental cleanup activities in Taein-dong, Gwangyang, where the refractory, lime, and Hwaseong business sites are located.


In Sejong, on the 25th, they visited a social welfare center to volunteer in meal service for the elderly. In Gumi, on the 26th, they conducted river cleanup activities near the business site, and on the same day in Seoul, environmental cleanup activities were held around the POSCO Center in Gangnam-gu.


Meanwhile, POSCO Future M holds the environmental education program “Blue Dream Environmental Camp” every summer for children at local children’s centers. It also operates a Food Charging Station that provides daily necessities and food supplies to vulnerable groups near its business sites, continuing a beautiful partnership with local communities.
