Jinhae District Office conducted an environmental cleanup activity around Jinhaeru with about 300 participants, including First Deputy Mayor Jang Geumyong, District Mayor Jeong Hyunseop, and community leaders.
This environmental cleanup was organized to clean up the area around Jinhaeru, where the amount of trash has increased due to the recent extreme heavy rain that hit Changwon, providing citizens with a safe and pleasant daily environment.
On this day, 300 community leaders from all districts of Jinhae-gu voluntarily participated, working hard to collect trash and improve the environment around Jinhaeru.
After a brief warm-up exercise to prevent safety accidents, the participants were divided into three teams: the first team moved from Jinhaeru toward Sokcheon, the second team from Jinhaeru toward Idong, and the third team from Jinhaeru toward Sojukdo. All teams started simultaneously and returned to Jinhaeru, collecting hidden trash and checking for elements that threaten safety in daily life along the way.
Park Hoseop, president of the Jinhae-gu Community Leaders Association, said, "I feel proud to see Jinhaeru become cleaner through today's cleanup," and added, "As a volunteer for the residents, I will continue to take the lead in creating a bright and pleasant Jinhae-gu based on my affection and sense of duty for the community."
Deputy Mayor Jang said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the community leaders of Jinhae-gu for taking the lead in creating a clean and pleasant district that residents can truly feel, even in your busy schedules. Changwon City will also do its best through practical, everyday projects so that citizens can experience positive changes in their daily lives."
