Geumcheon-gu to Host 'Festival Safe to Attend Alone 2' on September 28
Unique Festival Featuring Virtual Space Themed on Line 1 Subway
Comedy Show Hosted by Comedian Lee Chang-ho and Hip-Hop Performance by Singer Miran
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the Geumcheon Youth Festival "A Festival That's Okay to Attend Alone 2" will be held at the district office plaza from 2 PM on September 28.
"A Festival That's Okay to Attend Alone 2" was prepared to alleviate the isolation felt by single-person households and to create a space for interaction where young people and local residents can all enjoy together.
Ten members of the Geumcheon Youth Festival Planning Team actively participated in the entire process of planning and operating the festival, reflecting fresh ideas unique to youth. The theme of the festival combines the topic of "single-person households" with the "Line 1 subway," resulting in uniquely formatted programs.
On the main stage, music performances prepared by the "JAY Z Performance Group," "Donghaeng Busking," "Jomchineun Saramdeul," and "Awkward Relationship" will take place, along with a "Subway 3-Game" competition.
In particular, after the opening ceremony, comedian Lee Chang-ho and singer MIRAMI will enrich the stage. Comedian Lee Chang-ho will resolve the concerns of young people who applied in advance through a "Counseling" segment, and singer MIRAMI will elevate the festival atmosphere with a hip-hop performance.
Additionally, various booths will offer entertainment for youth and residents. At the "Subway Theme" booth (area named "Gasan Digital Complex Station"), games such as ▲ finding three items in a room before going out ▲ drawing a subway line and naming three stations ▲ balancing on a balance ball to simulate crowded subway conditions ▲ long jump between train and platform are prepared.
Experience booths will feature ▲ Line 1 caricature studio ▲ Line 1 tarot reading studio ▲ making subway-themed paper boxes ▲ and a "Subway Theme Bodyweight Exercise Program" with the "Just Fun Crew."
Moreover, policy promotion for Geumcheon-gu and related facilities (area named "Geumcheon-gu Office Station"), programs in collaboration with Cheongchun Building and Geumcheon Public Gasan Library (area named "Transfer Center"), and food booths (area named "Doksan Station") will also be operated.
The Youth Festival Planning Team members said, "We chose the subway, one of the places frequently visited by young people in Geumcheon-gu, as the theme of this festival," and added, "We ask for your great interest in this festival, which is full of different fun and enjoyment compared to last year."
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "Since the festival was planned from the perspective of Geumcheon’s youth, it seems to have become a more distinctive festival that resonates with young people," and added, "We hope many residents will show interest and participate in the 2nd Geumcheon Youth Festival."
