Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held a special guerrilla lecture titled "Psychological Prescription Leading to Happiness" for all employees on the 24th.

This training was organized as part of the "2024 Mindfulness Project" aimed at increasing employees' work concentration through stress management and anxiety relief, and fostering a positive public service culture.

The lecture was conducted by inviting Dr. Noh Ju-seon, a clinical psychologist and author of "From Today, I Decided to Be Happy," and was held in three sessions with about 1,000 employees participating.

Dr. Noh Ju-seon cheerfully addressed "Our Stories of the Mind," covering topics such as △ "What to do in these situations?" △ Obsession with being a good person △ Difficulty understanding others' emotions △ How to love myself △ Comforting friends in hardship.

In particular, Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, who could not attend the lecture due to an official business trip, delivered a surprise video message encouraging employees who silently do their best even in difficult situations such as handling malicious complaints and emergency duties.

An employee who attended the lecture said, "I used to keep my worries to myself, afraid of being seen as complaining, but receiving prescriptions for how to cope with different situations made me feel at ease," and added, "It was a time to understand my own mind, which even I was not clearly aware of."

Director Kang Hye-sook of the Human Resources Department said, "Through this lecture, we expect to enhance employees' psychological stability and resilience, and we will continue to strive to create a happy workplace and a public service culture of empathetic communication."

Meanwhile, in addition to this lecture, the city plans to continue the "2024 Mindfulness Project" series with programs such as the "Sabujak Sabujak" experiential class for mind recovery (September 25?27) and the "Me, Fine" positive workshop for becoming a whole self (November 15).
