Pocheon-si Holds Autumn Local Festival Safety Management Working Committee Meeting

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province, held the Autumn Local Festival Safety Management Working Committee on the 23rd at the Disaster and Safety Situation Room of Pocheon City Hall.

On the 23rd, Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province held a practical committee meeting on autumn local festival safety management at the Pocheon City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, the city announced on the 24th.

The practical committee meeting was attended by a total of 11 people, including Choi Jonghwa, Director of the Safety City Bureau, related festival departments, and officials from local affiliated organizations such as Pocheon Fire Station and Pocheon Police Station.

During the meeting, discussions were held on overall festival safety management for four events: the 20th Pocheon Arts Festival, Solmoru Harmony Grand Festival, 2024 Hantangang Geo Music & Picnic Festival, and the 27th Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Myeongseongsan Silver Grass Festival.

The city plans to take measures to supplement the opinions and pointed issues raised during the practical committee review before the festivals are held, and will conduct joint on-site inspections with affiliated organizations such as Pocheon Police Station and Pocheon Fire Station to verify the implementation of safety management plans.

Choi Jonghwa, Director of the Safety City Bureau, stated, “Since crowds gather at festival sites, there is a high possibility of safety accidents, so thorough preparation by the organizers is necessary. For outdoor events held in autumn, there is a high risk of unfortunate accidents such as wasp stings and snake bites, so we will carry out thorough safety management.”
