Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold a "High School Admission Briefing Session" on October 23 at the district office auditorium to announce the key changes in the 2025 academic year education system.


This special lecture will focus on the "High School Credit System," which will be fully implemented starting next year. Attendees will learn effective subject selection methods, strategies for school grades, and how to manage school life records.


In particular, professional assistance will be provided for designing curricula tailored to students' career paths and aptitudes.


Additionally, the session will analyze the key issues of the 2028 college entrance exams. It will be packed with valuable information on major universities' admission types and preparation methods. Furthermore, it will deepen understanding by covering the latest trends such as the revision of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).

Preparing for the High School Credit System! ... Gwangjin-gu Holds 'High School Admission Briefing' for Elementary and Middle School Parents Last Year's High School Admission Information Session

The lecturer invited is Kim Chang-sik, head of the Megastudy Elementary and Secondary Entrance Exam Strategy Research Institute. The session will provide diverse and detailed information for about 100 minutes starting at 7 p.m. This will be followed by a 40-minute Q&A session to address individual questions.


The briefing is open to prospective high school students' parents, with a first-come, first-served registration limit of 300 participants. Applications can be made on the Gwangjin-gu Office website from September 27 to October 20. For more details, please contact the Education Support Division.


Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "We organized this admission briefing session to ease the concerns and worries of students and parents preparing for high school entrance," adding, "We will provide wholehearted support to help successful admission amid the rapidly changing educational environment."


In addition, Gwangjin-gu plans to promote various educational projects for entrance exam preparation. In November, it will operate the "Visiting Parents Academy," and in December, it will hold the "College Entrance Regular Admission Briefing" and "One-on-One Consulting" to drive successful admissions.
