Didden Robotics, a developer of industrial robot solutions, announced on the 24th that it has secured seed investment from Bluepoint Partners and Company K Partners.
The 'quadruped Seungwol robot' being developed by Didden Robotics is an industrial robot specialized for steel environment operations. It provides automated inspection and work solutions using robots in hazardous or hard-to-access environments.
Didden Robotics' core competitiveness lies in its quadruped locomotion technology. CEO Kim Junha founded the company after earning a Ph.D. at KAIST Hubo Lab. The technology developed in that lab was featured as a cover paper in the world-renowned journal Science Robotics and achieved a Guinness World Record for terrestrial walking speed.

The quadruped Seungwol robot currently under development, which uses magnetic feet, can perform stable operations while navigating complex obstacles including vertical walls and ceilings. It can also work reliably in high and narrow spaces. This is said to significantly reduce the risk of human accidents and greatly improve work efficiency and cost savings.
Didden Robotics plans to conduct full-scale proof of concept (PoC) projects with large corporations in the second half of this year. It will demonstrate technology for work automation in high-risk environments such as shipbuilding, refining, and chemical industries.
