Competitions in 23 sports will be held throughout Gumi, including at Park Chunghee Gymnasium, and enthusiastic competition and unity among residents are anticipated.
Sports for all is more than just exercise; it plays an important role in fostering communication and harmony among residents and building a healthy local community. This grand festival serves as a venue to realize the value of sports for all and is expected to have a positive ripple effect on the local economy.
The city has completed thorough preparations for the successful hosting of this event. Venue and safety inspections have been completed, and emergency medical staff and safety personnel will be deployed to prepare for any emergencies. In particular, meticulous attention will be given to traffic control and parking management to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Around Park Chunghee Gymnasium, various experience booths and Gumi City promotional booths will be operated in addition to the competitions. Participants can enjoy unique activities such as Hangung, Shulun, and stationery claw machines, and those who complete the experiences will receive the Gumi Love Gift Certificate sponsored by the Gumi City Sports Council. The gift certificate can be used to purchase local agricultural products and small business goods in Gumi, which is expected to boost the local economy.
The opening ceremony will be held at 4:50 p.m. on the 27th at Park Chunghee Gymnasium. Singers from North Gyeongsang Province, including Park Sanghyun, Jumi, Hongja, Hwang Jun, and Shin Yu, will perform congratulatory stages, and various attractions such as a sports pictogram performance will add excitement to the festival.
Mayor Kim Jangho said, "I hope this grand festival will be a valuable opportunity to contribute to the unity and health of our residents," and added, "I encourage visitors to stay in Gumi and make use of the local businesses."
