LG Chem introduced the LG Chem Master Craftsman and LG Chem Expert systems in 2022 to officially recognize the capabilities of on-site technical personnel and to continuously provide opportunities for growth.

This year, two individuals, Go Young-chun, Senior Specialist, and Seong Gi-wook, Assistant Manager, were selected as Master Craftsmen, and 22 employees were selected as Experts. Senior Specialist Go was recognized for his achievements in domestic and international projects, including equipment automation, based on over 30 years of skilled experience, while Assistant Manager Seong was acknowledged for his contributions to stable plant operations as the company's top expert in vibration analysis.

LG Chem selects Master Craftsmen through a rigorous multi-month evaluation process for each business site, including candidate verification and reviews by internal and external experts according to the system.

The selected individuals receive various benefits, including induction into the business site's Hall of Fame, monetary rewards, and preferential appointments in rank and position. Those chosen as Master Craftsmen actively engage in nurturing juniors through technical consulting, specialized job training, and mentoring activities.

Vice Chairman Shin said, "The core competitiveness to innovate customer experience in the manufacturing sector begins with the technical skills of on-site personnel," adding, "We will continue to create opportunities for experts with high levels of skill and know-how to grow."
