Gwanak-gu Sinsa Matgil Hosts 'Sinsa Matshulin' Event

▲Taste of Sinsa ▲Stage Performances ▲Games and Playgrounds: Programs Combining Food, Culture, and Experiences

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the food festival "Sinsa Matshulreong" for a joyful weekend afternoon in the Sinsa Matgil area.

"Sinsa Matshulreong" is a food culture festival in Gwanak-gu held along approximately 230 meters of "Sinsa Matgil (Nangok-ro 66-gil to Gwanchon-ro 11-gil)" located in Sinsa-dong, Gwanak-gu. The festival is scheduled to take place on September 28 from 3 PM to 9 PM.

The district was selected in the first half of this year for the "Seoul Metropolitan Nighttime and Food Culture Activation Support Project" competition. Through this, the district planned a "Alley Commercial District Festival" to revitalize the local commercial area and increase sales in the alley commercial district.

This festival is meaningful as a "participatory festival" where a "Public-Private Festival Promotion Team" is formed, and residents including the alley commercial district merchants' association and the residents' autonomy committee participate together from planning to operation of the festival.

"Sinsa Matshulreong" consists of various food culture activation contents that highlight the characteristics of the Sinsa Matgil commercial district, including ▲Taste of Sinsa ▲Stage performances ▲Games and playgrounds.

Additionally, visitors can spend a fulfilling weekend by freely experiencing various games and activities such as street karaoke and 1-minute caricatures.

The district installed splendid landscape lighting and emotional photo zones throughout Sinsa Matgil, filling the festival with abundant sights and attractions. A receipt event will also be held to further enhance the participation and interest of residents visiting the festival.

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "'Sinsa Matshulreong' will promote the charm of the Sinsa Matgil commercial district and grow into a festival enjoyed by both residents and merchants," adding, "We will continue to implement various local economic revitalization policies to strengthen the self-sustainability of alley commercial districts."
