Author Arrested on the 20th
All 30+ Posts Have Been Deleted
The police announced on the 20th that the person who posted the 'medical community blacklist' has been arrested, and they are investigating three individuals identified for sharing the access link.
At a regular press briefing on the 23rd, Kim Bong-sik, Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, stated, "Regarding the case of posting the list of returning residents on overseas sharing sites such as Archive from the 10th of last month to the 21st of this month, we have identified and are conducting a tracking investigation on three people who shared the access link," adding, "We will conduct a strict and swift investigation into malicious and collective mobbing behavior."
Commissioner Kim also said, "On the 12th, we received a request for investigation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare concerning posts mocking patients, including content such as 'I hope 1,000 patients die every day,' under charges of obstruction of business. We will decide the direction of the investigation after a comprehensive legal review." It is known that the police have identified about 30 related posts so far, all of which have been deleted.
The police have completed witness interviews with six members of the Emergency Committee of the Korean Intern Resident Association (Daejeonhyeop) and are currently comparing and analyzing their statements with the materials secured so far.
