Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun), which manages the Gyeonggi Northern Region's representative nutrition, hygiene, and food safety education institution, the Gyeonggi Children's Food Safety Experience Center Uijeongbu Branch, announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a special program titled "Kong! Kong! Kong! Sounds" for 3-4-year-old children attending daycare centers in northern Gyeonggi from October 8 to November 29.
This program is designed to promote healthy eating habits by focusing on "kong" (beans), a food ingredient that children tend to be picky about, through experiential activities observing the growth process of beans to improve children's selective eating.
In particular, there is also a session where children can make maracas using beans, providing a fun opportunity to become familiar with beans.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting from the 25th, and can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Children's Food Safety Experience Center Uijeongbu Branch website. For more details, inquiries can be made by phone.
A city official stated, "Proper food intake is very important for children to grow healthily," and added, "We plan to continue offering various programs to help children develop healthy eating habits during their growth process."
