Uijeongbu City Hosts Lunch Concert at Yonghyeon Industrial Complex Embracing Cultural Heritage 'Mountain Industrial Complex Embracing Cultural Heritage, Yonghyeon Industrial Complex Lunch Concert' Poster.

Gyeonggi Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 23rd that starting from the 25th, every Wednesday, it will provide cultural performances in daily life to industrial complex workers and citizens through the 'Yonghyeon Industrial Complex Lunch Concert, Embracing Cultural Heritage.'

Co-hosted by the Uijeongbu City Enterprise Support Center and Uijeongbu cultural and artistic organizations, this performance offers various musical genres such as fusion music, jazz, classical music, and K-pop to workers and citizens, aiming to revitalize the industrial complex.

The concerts will be held in front of the Jeong Mun-bu General's Tomb, Gyeonggi-do Cultural Heritage No. 37, located at the center of the industrial complex. Starting with the first performance on the 25th, a total of five concerts will be held every Wednesday during lunchtime, except on Hangul Day. Detailed schedules and performance information can be found on Uijeongbu City's official blog.

Yonghyeon Industrial Complex has been attracting data centers and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Northern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters to leap forward as a future-oriented advanced industrial complex. It has also signed an investment attraction agreement with CJ Bio Co., Ltd., and recently is soliciting brand names to shed its old image and build a vibrant industrial complex image.

Additionally, with the amendment of the Gyeonggi-do Cultural Heritage Protection Ordinance in July, the 32-meter height restriction on buildings located between 200m and 300m outside the cultural heritage perimeter has been lifted, making it a more business-friendly industrial complex where culture, youth, and advanced industries coexist, expected to take a step forward.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I hope workers and citizens can have a healing time through music performances amidst their busy daily lives,” and added, “We will breathe cultural and artistic vitality into Yonghyeon Industrial Complex, which embraces cultural heritage in its natural terrain.”
