Daejeon Bread Festival Opens on the 28th... 81 Bakeries from Across the Country Participate

Daejeon Tourism Organization announced that the '2024 Daejeon Bread Festival' will be held on the 28th and 29th at the cafe street in Sojae-dong, Dong-gu, with 81 bakeries participating, including 71 from the Daejeon area and 10 from across the country.

Now in its fourth year, the 'Daejeon Bread Festival' will feature a variety of events including official ceremonies, market & hands-on programs, celebration performances, purchase events, and various side programs.

On the 28th, the opening ceremony, a 10-meter giant baguette cutting performance, a collection of famous bakeries from Daejeon and nationwide, an art flea market linked with local businesses, and a bread jam making experience will take place.

In addition, the emotional music concert will feature artists such as Reveroff, Punch, and Lim Hanbyul, while on the second day, Art Night in Daejeon will showcase performances by Ipooreum Band, Duktuk Crew, and the popera group Aura.

As part of the purchase event programs, visitors can participate in activities such as the Bread Bread Four-Cut Photo Booth, Bread Crane, Ring the Bread Bell! Climbing, and the 100% Winning! Roulette Event, depending on their purchase amount. Side programs will include the Kkumssi Family Photo Zone and the Best Taste Jam Bakery Awards.

Yoon Sungkuk, President of Daejeon Tourism Organization, said, "This year, the scale of the event has expanded with an increase in participating companies and additional programs," adding, "We expect that Daejeon will greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy as the nation's top bread city."
