Simmons Bed Donates 10 Million Won to Local Youth in Celebration of 'Youth Day'

Simmons donated 10 million KRW to support local youth in celebration of 'Youth Day' (the third Saturday of September).


On the 21st, Simmons delivered a donation of 10 million KRW to the Icheon Youth Festival Planning Group, the organizing body of the '2nd Icheon Youth Festival' held at the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The donation ceremony was attended by Lee Jong-seong, Vice President of Simmons' Production and Logistics Strategy Division, Lee Jong-gyeong, head of the Icheon Youth Festival Planning Group, and several other officials.


The donation funds were raised from the upcycling booth at the 'Farmers Market,' a direct trade market for agricultural and specialty products recently held at Simmons Terrace. At the upcycling booth, employees voluntarily donated and sold personal items such as clothing, electronics, and household goods.


Started in 2018, the Farmers Market is part of Simmons' socializing project that connects regions and people. It has greatly contributed to revitalizing the local economy by opening sales channels for Icheon farms and has established itself as a representative local festival.


Lee Jong-seong, Vice President of Simmons, said, "It is very rewarding to be able to do something meaningful for the local youth. Especially, it is particularly significant that we can carry out another good deed with the proceeds from the upcycling booth, which was newly established as part of the Farmers Market under Simmons' ESG management."


Lee Jong-gyeong, head of the Icheon Youth Festival Planning Group, expressed deep gratitude to Simmons for their generous support for the local youth, the future leaders, and said, "Such corporate leadership will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of youth development and youth issues in the community."
