Opening of Goyang-si Local Flower Direct Store

Located Inside Daehwa-dong Flower Mart... Direct Trade Corners Set Up for Each Flower Farm

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 23rd that the 'Goyang City Local Flower Direct Store' officially opened on the 20th.

The Goyang City Local Flower Direct Store is located within the large-scale flower retail store, Flower Mart, at the Goyang Agricultural and Marine Products Distribution Center (Daehwa-dong), and is operated and managed by the Korea Flower Farmers Cooperative.

The Local Flower Direct Store operates by allocating corners for each flower farm in Goyang City to directly trade flower products, with the faces of the flower farmers displayed in the store to certify the value of the floral products.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City expressed his gratitude to the Korea Flower Farmers Cooperative, saying, "I am pleased that the Local Flower store, which was proposed during meetings with Goyang City's flower farmers in the past, has finally opened."

He added, "With the opening of the Local Flower Direct Store, I hope the competitiveness of the struggling flower farms will be strengthened and the local economy revitalized."

Meanwhile, the Korea Flower Farmers Cooperative held the K-Flower Good Festa at Flower Mart (362 Daehwa-ro, Ilsanseo-gu) for three days from the 20th to the 22nd, coinciding with the opening of the Local Flower store.

The K-Flower Good Festa is an event aimed at promoting flower consumption and revitalizing the flower industry, featuring various programs such as one-day classes, and notably included discount events on all items within Flower Mart.
