President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating for his administration rebounded, recovering to the 30% range for the first time in four weeks. For President Yoon, who had recorded his lowest approval rating since taking office, the Chuseok holiday period helped ease the urgent situation.

According to a public opinion poll released on the 23rd by polling firm Reality (commissioned by Energy Economy Newspaper, conducted from the 19th to 20th with 1,001 respondents aged 18 and over nationwide, using 97% mobile and 3% landline automated response methods), President Yoon's approval rating rose by 3.3 percentage points from the previous survey to 30.3%. Negative evaluations fell by 2.5 percentage points to 66.2%. Last week, the approval rating was 27.0%, the lowest since his inauguration, but it increased as support from conservative and elderly groups rose.

Looking at the approval rating by region, it rose by 10.1 percentage points in Seoul, from 28.6% to 38.7%. In the so-called PK region, including Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, it increased by 10.0 percentage points from 29.8% to 39.8%. By age group, the rating among those in their 60s rose by 9.9 percentage points from 33.4% to 43.3%, and among those in their 20s, it increased by 9.0 percentage points from 21.9% to 30.9%. Additionally, among those who identified as conservatives, the approval rating rose by 7.3 percentage points from 45.0% to 52.3%. However, in Daegu and Gyeongbuk (TK), where support had been strong, the approval rating fell by 9.2 percentage points from 41.1% to 31.9%.

Regarding party support, compared to last week's regular survey, the People Power Party's support rose by 2.2 percentage points to 35.2%. The Democratic Party of Korea fell by 0.4 percentage points to 39.2%. The Innovation Party received 9.1%, and the Reform Party 4.5%.
