Detour Guidance from September 25 to June 2026
The road under Samilgyo Bridge in Ulsan and the right-bank bicycle path along Dongcheon will be closed for approximately one year and eight months.
The Ulsan City Integrated Construction Headquarters announced on the 23rd that the Samilgyo Bridge underpass road and the Dongcheon right-bank bicycle path will be closed from 2 p.m. on the 25th until June 2026.
This closure is being implemented to secure workspace for the installation of structures as part of the 'Janghyeon Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex Access Road Construction Project.'
This project aims to expand the road from Korea Polytechnic University to Janghyeon Intersection from a width of 10 meters to 20-29 meters, in order to improve industrial infrastructure and facilitate efficient logistics transportation.
The total project cost of 25 billion KRW will be fully funded by the national government. Construction began in May last year and is scheduled for completion in June 2026.
Accordingly, the Integrated Construction Headquarters will provide detour guidance via the Seodong roundabout and Byeongyeong-ro to disperse traffic from the Korea Polytechnic University intersection due to the closure of the Samilgyo Bridge underpass road. The bicycle path detour will be guided to the Dongcheon left-bank bicycle path.
Construction notice signs, traffic detour guidance signs, promotional banners, and other materials will be installed to minimize inconvenience for users.
