President Yoon Sends Congratulatory Letter and Gifts to Parents of Quintuplets Born The Presidential Office announced on the 22nd that President Yoon Seok-yeol sent Yoo Hye-mi, the Chief of Low Birthrate Response, to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, where the quintuplets "PangPang Rangers" were born on the 20th, to deliver the President's congratulatory message and gifts.

President Yoon Suk-yeol sent Yoo Hye-mi, the Chief of Low Birthrate Response, to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital on the afternoon of the 22nd to deliver a congratulatory letter and gifts for the birth of the quintuplets known as the 'PangPang Rangers,' the Presidential Office announced.


Following his congratulatory message on Facebook on the 20th, the day the quintuplets were born, President Yoon sent Chief Yoo in person on this day to extend his congratulations once again.


In the congratulatory letter, President Yoon stated, "The healthy birth of the quintuplets, a rare occurrence worldwide, in our country is a joy for all of us," and promised, "We will strive to ensure that the mother, father, and the five babies can create a happy future together." He also expressed gratitude to the medical staff.


The congratulatory gifts sent by President Yoon included baby clothes in five different colors and natural seaweed, symbolizing wishes for the children's health and happiness and the mother's speedy recovery.


The quintuplets will receive various government supports, including a first meeting voucher (a voucher program providing financial support to newborn families) worth 14 million KRW, 5 million KRW for pregnancy and childbirth medical expenses, dispatch of maternal and newborn health care workers according to the number of newborns, continuous health management services for newborns after discharge from the neonatal intensive care unit (up to age 3), additional national scholarships, and exemption from student loan interest.


Catholic University Seoul St. Mary's Hospital announced on the 20th that it successfully completed the multiple birth delivery of five newborns to a mother in her 30s.


The parents of the quintuplets are a husband who is a high school teacher and a wife who is an education public official, and they gave birth to three boys and two girls.


The couple named the quintuplets 'PangPang Rangers,' likening their nicknames to the Power Rangers, a team of five members.
