"Are You a Celebrity? Please Change Seats"... Noh Hong-cheol's Story of Being Taken by Surprise

Gladly changed the seat upon request, but the seat is cramped

Recently, a situation experienced by broadcaster Noh Hong-chul on a flight to Milan, Italy, has become a hot topic online. A passenger recognized him, saying "Aren't you a celebrity?" and then demanded to switch to a narrower seat, which sparked public outrage.

On the 20th, Noh Hong-chul uploaded a video on his YouTube channel documenting his visit to Milan to watch the F1 race. He mentioned that the flight was delayed and said, "I was about to sit down with the thought of 'Now I can relax for over ten hours on the plane,' when the lady next to me suddenly asked me to switch seats."

In the footage Noh Hong-chul recorded at the time, the passenger said, "Excuse me, aren't you a celebrity? My spouse and I got separated, and this seat is in front, so just for a moment..." as she requested a seat change from Noh Hong-chul. He readily accepted, saying, "Shall I switch? Absolutely," but it turned out that her original seat was actually narrower than Noh Hong-chul's seat.

Nevertheless, Noh Hong-chul said, "I'm looking forward to this trip," adding, "Before something good happens, there's always a little bit of a dark cloud, but when these things pile up, the main event becomes much more interesting," showing a change of heart. Through subtitles, he explained that the 'dark cloud' situation referred to the flight delay and seat change.

Viewers who watched the video expressed anger. They criticized the passenger who requested the seat change from Noh Hong-chul, saying things like, "The intention behind asking 'Aren't you a celebrity?' is obvious," "At least the request should be made when the seats are of the same class," and "It's shameless."
