On the 23rd, Lee plans to preside over an on-site supreme council meeting in Yeonggwang County, Jeollanam-do, followed by a visit to Gokseong County, Jeollanam-do on the 24th. On the 25th, a supreme council meeting is scheduled to be held in Geumjeong District, Busan.

Cho Guk, leader of the Innovation Party for National Reform, also called for safety through Facebook. Cho emphasized, "Since this happened on a holiday, there are concerns about lax responses," and added, "I hope the central and local governments respond unitedly and effectively."

He further stated, "Although it is the by-election period, the safety of the people is the top priority," and urged, "Everyone should take thorough safety measures and work together to address neighbors' difficulties."
