30 Senior School Cooks Participate
Creating a Healthy School Meal Culture
The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Geoseok) announced on the 22nd that it conducted a '2024 Managing My Body and Mind' job training for cooks at Sunchang Swilland and Gangcheonsan.
According to the provincial Office of Education, 30 senior cooks from kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the province participated in this training, which was organized to promote a healthy school meal culture through the health improvement of school meal practitioners.

This training included programs such as ▲Prevention of musculoskeletal disorders 'Checking My Body Balance with Yoga' ▲Reflection and healing 'My Own Garden, Horticultural Therapy' ▲Healthy meals using local food ▲Forest experience and opening the mind with a forest interpreter ▲Stress relief 'Foot bath experience, sharing the mind.'
One cook who participated in the training said, "I usually cook for the students, but this time it was a precious opportunity to take care of my body and mind and understand each other," adding, "I am grateful to the Office of Education for recognizing and comforting the hard work of cooks."
Lee Seogi, Director of the Culture, Arts, and Health Division, said, "This training was prepared to relieve stress and heal the mind and body of school meal cooks," and added, "We will continue to prepare various healing trainings to foster a healthy school meal culture through reflection and healing."
