Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 21st that due to heavy rain overnight causing damage across the country, "I hope the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and related authorities prioritize the safety of our citizens and take thorough measures."
On Facebook, Han wrote, "Since yesterday, the pouring heavy rain has caused various damages such as flooding and power outages, and secondary damages like ground subsidence and landslides are also a concern."
Han added, "I ask the relevant authorities to focus on safety measures including resident evacuation and drainage support, and to equally ensure the safety of those supporting these efforts."
