President Yoon Suk-yeol said on the 20th (local time) regarding the couple of education officials in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, who naturally conceived and gave birth to quintuplets, "I heard the joyful news from faraway Czech Republic," adding, "The government will also do its best to help so that raising quintuplets can be five times the joy."

President Yoon, who is on an official visit to the Czech Republic, congratulated on Facebook that day, saying, "This is the first time in our country that quintuplets were born through natural conception," and "It is truly a joyful event."

President Yoon said, "I extend my congratulations and gratitude to the mother and father who protected all five precious lives," and "I also thank the medical staff at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital who successfully performed the difficult surgery with thorough preparation."

He added, "I hope the babies will soon come out of the incubators and be safely embraced by their parents."

President Yoon encouraged, saying, "We will make further efforts in work-family balance, alleviating childcare burdens, and housing support so that all mothers and fathers in the Republic of Korea can raise their children without worry," and "I support the healthy and happy future of our children."

Catholic University Seoul St. Mary's Hospital announced on the 20th that it successfully completed the multiple birth delivery of five newborns to a mother in her 30s.

The parents of the quintuplets are a husband who is a high school teacher and a wife who is an education official, and they gave birth to three boys and two girls.

The couple named the babies' nicknames "PangPang Ranger," likening them to the Power Rangers consisting of five members.
