The post was a confession and apology letter from person A, who claimed to be a middle school classmate of GwakTube and raised the allegations. In the apology, A wrote, "(The claims I made) are all false. I am sorry."

He continued, "I did not like GwakTube and wanted to use this controversy as an excuse to spread false information to make GwakTube receive criticism," adding, "I did not attend the same middle school as GwakTube, and I am still a second-year high school student, so we are not even the same age. All of it is false. I am truly sorry."

Additionally, A confessed to leaking GwakTube's phone number and forging official documents while impersonating a lawyer.

A said, "I am truly sorry to GwakTube for the personal information leak that caused him to be doxxed and for the harm caused by spreading false information. I am also very sorry for forging official documents and using illegal emails," and added, "At first, I felt good because the lies I told were written about in articles and received a lot of attention, and I felt like a famous criminal in a movie. But when a large corporation threatened to sue me and the situation escalated, I got scared and decided to write this. I am truly sorry."

Previously, A had posted an expos? claiming that "GwakTube stole a (Nintendo) DS in the second year of middle school," which caused a stir.

GwakTube's agency, SM C&C, issued a statement correcting the facts of the allegations and said, "We will take strict measures without any leniency against those who create and spread false information and malicious rumors."

Meanwhile, on the 16th, GwakTube sparked public controversy by making remarks on his YouTube channel that seemed to defend Lee Naeun, a former member of April, who is accused of bullying former members.
