Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Hosts '2024 Gyeonggi Lead Teacher Class Donation Concert' Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Gwanggyo New Office Building Exterior.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced that it will present the '2024 Gyeonggi Lead Teacher Lesson Donation Concert' on the 21st to promote in-depth lesson dissemination and share excellent lesson practice cases.

According to the Office of Education on the 20th, this event was prepared to enhance teachers' capabilities in designing in-depth lessons and support the advancement of lesson evaluation expertise through lesson sharing linked with lead teachers.

'In-depth lessons' is a Gyeonggi-type lesson model where students independently explore and ask questions, ultimately finding core ideas and concepts to broaden their understanding.

The event will involve secondary school teachers and lead teachers affiliated with 25 educational support offices, centered on the Secondary Lead Teachers Association.

The concert will begin with a keynote lecture titled "Insights into In-depth Lessons" by Professor Cho Byung-young of Hanyang University, followed by lesson sharing sessions divided into six subcommittees organized by the Gyeonggi Lead Teachers Research Association.

The themes for lesson sharing by subcommittee are: △ Core Ideas and Inquiry Questions △ Digital-based Student Assessment and In-depth Lessons △ Future Problem-solving Project Lessons Using AI Chatbots △ 2022 Revised Curriculum, Boosting Character Education! △ AI Utilization Project Lesson Design Practice △ Student Participation Lessons Awakening the Classroom.

Participating teachers will select two preferred themes to observe lead teachers' lessons. Afterwards, there will be time to discuss lesson-related concerns with the lead teachers.

The Office of Education expects that operating this lesson concert will expand collaborative teaching among teachers, foster a culture of lesson reflection, and further strengthen the foundation of future education in Gyeonggi through in-depth lessons.

Kim Yoon-gi, Director of Curriculum Policy at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, said, "We hope this concert will be a time for lead teachers and participating teachers to share concerns about in-depth lessons and grow together," adding, "We will strive to enhance teachers' lesson capabilities and the educational power of schools to firmly establish the foundation for Gyeonggi's future education."
