750 million KRW Invested... Eco-friendly Parking Lot to be Completed by the End of November

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 20th that it has begun construction of Haengju No. 1 Public Parking Lot by demolishing old buildings in the area of 858 Todang-dong to alleviate parking difficulties for nearby residents and contribute to the revitalization of Neunggok Market.

The area around 858 Todang-dong is a densely populated area with low- to mid-rise multi-family housing and Neunggok Market, where residents have long suffered from chronic parking shortages.

Accordingly, the city plans to invest 750 million KRW in the area of 858 Todang-dong to create Haengju No. 1 Public Parking Lot, which will accommodate a total of 70 vehicles, by the end of November.

Haengju No. 1 Public Parking Lot is designed to include 59 expandable parking spaces for passenger cars, 3 spaces for the disabled, 4 compact car spaces, and 4 electric vehicle spaces, reflecting the trend toward larger passenger cars. Additionally, the parking spaces will be paved with grass blocks, the driving lanes with road blocks, and shrubs will be planted to create an eco-friendly parking lot that secures green space in the urban area.

Once the public parking lot is completed, it is expected to improve the parking environment for nearby residents and visitors to Neunggok Market, positively impact the local commercial district, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
