Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byung-il) has begun the recruitment process for new employees in 2024.

Applications will be accepted until 5 PM on the 26th, with recruitment divided into the following categories: Master's/Doctoral degree holders, mid-level employees (graduates or expected graduates by February 2025 from a four-year regular university), and entry-level employees (high school graduates or expected graduates by February 2025). Approximately 40 positions are available.

The selection process starts with online application submission through the Gwangju Bank website and the Saramin job portal, followed by document screening, written tests (NCS, general knowledge, personality test), and first and second interviews. Final successful candidates will be selected in early November.

For the first time this year, the Master's/Doctoral category will recruit candidates who have obtained a master's or doctoral degree from high schools, universities, or graduate schools located in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, majoring in statistics, industrial engineering, computer science, computer engineering, information, or telecommunications-related fields.

The Grade 7 mid-level employees will be recruited in the following categories: ▲ Regional (local talent, digital/IT) ▲ General (general talent, statistics) ▲ Veterans restricted competition (only applicants who are veterans or eligible under the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons, and who are graduates or expected graduates by February 2025 from a four-year regular university can apply).

Grade 7 entry-level employees will be recruited in the digital/IT field. Applicants must be high school graduates or expected graduates by February 2025, or have equivalent academic qualifications, and must have graduated (or be expected to graduate) from a high school located in the Gwangju or Jeonnam regions.

Detailed information on eligibility, preferences, selection procedures and schedules, and required documents can be found on the Gwangju Bank website.

Kim Doo-bong, Head of Human Resources Support at Gwangju Bank, stated, “This year as well, we plan to select more than 80% of the total recruits from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions to help alleviate local employment difficulties and foster regional talent, fulfilling our social responsibility as the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam. We hope that many passionate, ambitious, and challenge-driven individuals will show great interest and apply.”
