Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, participated in the 'Hometown Love Donation Certification Challenge' on the 20th to promote the activation of the Hometown Love Donation System.

The 'Hometown Love Donation Certification Challenge' is conducted in a way that a member of the National Assembly or a local government head certifies their participation in the donation and then nominates the next participant to continue the donation.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan joined the Hometown Love Donation Certification Challenge last month after being nominated by Park Kyung-gwi, Mayor of Asan City, a sister city, and he nominated Choi Ki-moon, Mayor of Yeongcheon City, as the next participant.

Mayor Lee said, "Through participating in this challenge, I hope that the Hometown Love Donation System, now in its second year, will be further activated, spreading a healthy donation culture and promoting the revitalization of the local economy."

The Hometown Love Donation System allows donors to contribute to local governments other than their registered residence, and donors can receive tax deductions and return gifts.

Donations can be made through Hometown Love e-um or at any NH Nonghyup Bank branch nationwide.
