Yangsan City held a regular tea time on the morning of the 20th, chaired by Mayor Na Dongyeon, to share key issues.
During the meeting, the city reviewed the progress of major projects in the Ungsang area, including a report on preparations for the "Ungsang Renewal: Vision for Urban Recreation into the Future" presentation, a review of the progress of large-scale autumn festivals such as the Sapnyang Cultural Festival, and the establishment of plans to promote sports marketing such as attracting national competitions. The mayor urged all departments to do their utmost to ensure the safe and seamless execution of the city's representative festivals and events, as well as the progress of key projects, so that these efforts can serve as a cornerstone for the development of the local community.
Additionally, Mayor Na Dongyeon received reports on key departmental projects, including the operation of the Nambu Dokkaebi Friday Night Market, the application for the 2024 Urban Regeneration Recognition Project, the on-site investigation related to the national intangible heritage designation of the Gayajin Yongshinje, and the promotion of support measures for electric vehicle fire prevention in 2025.
Furthermore, the mayor emphasized that for the continued development and growth of Yangsan City, it is essential to secure selection for public projects aimed at revitalizing traditional markets and balanced development in rural areas, and to ensure that these projects proceed without setbacks. He called for the active interest and administrative focus of the relevant departments.
He also stressed the importance of establishing proactive support measures, such as securing a budget for the 2025 electric vehicle fire prevention support plan, to strengthen citizens' safety and the city's response to electric vehicle fires, especially in light of growing public distrust due to recent electric vehicle fires.
