The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Hospital Public Relations Association (Branch President Park Jaegon, Secretary General of Dongui Medical Center) will hold the “2024 Second Half Hospital and Clinic PR Seminar” on Friday, October 18, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Busan (Rooms 311-313).

This seminar is drawing attention as it will be held in conjunction with “KIMES Busan 2024,” the largest medical device and hospital facility exhibition in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, which will take place at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Haeundae, Busan, from September 18 to 20. This joint event is expected to further elevate the status of the branch and the seminar itself.
Since holding its first PR seminar at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital in 2008, the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Branch has been recognized for its most active participation within the Korea Hospital Public Relations Association. Over 150 medical institutions and related organizations representing the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions are currently members.
The hospital and clinic PR seminar, which had been held steadily for over 10 years until 2019, was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it made a successful comeback this past April after about five years, laying the groundwork for a new leap forward.
This second half seminar will be held under the theme “Turning Crisis into Opportunity: Hospital and Clinic PR from A to Z.” The program includes: ▲“Medical Advertising: What Not to Do! Analysis of Legal Risk Cases” (Park Haengnam, Managing Attorney at Bugang Law Firm) ▲“The Immutable Laws for Successful Branding” (So Youngsik, Executive Director of Enzyme Health Marketing Division) ▲“Asking About Innovation, Answering with Culture” (Im Kyungjun, Team Leader of Communications at Samsung Changwon Hospital) ▲“GPT Generation: Changes in Our Future Due to AI and Applications in PR Business” (Lee Sihan, Lead Professor at Yonsei University Sangnam Institute of Management). These sessions will provide practical PR lectures.
Park Jaegon, who prepared this seminar, shared, “The first half seminar held last April, which saw the highest attendance in our history, was a meaningful opportunity to reaffirm the passion of hospital and clinic PR professionals that had been on hold due to COVID-19 and to share our concerns.” He added, “Immediately after the first half seminar, we conducted an online satisfaction survey to address any shortcomings, and now, with the opportunity to hold the seminar jointly with the large-scale KIMES Busan event, expectations for the second half seminar are very high.”
The seminar is open to PR practitioners and medical institution staff from Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, and across the country. All participants will receive seminar materials and souvenirs. After the seminar, a second part event, “Night of Hospital and Clinic PR Professionals in Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam,” will provide dinner and networking opportunities.
Pre-registration is open until October 11, and on-site registration will also be available on the day of the event. For inquiries, contact the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam branch office or send an email.
The Korea Hospital Public Relations Association, established in 1996 (President Park Misoon, Head of PR at Kyunghee University Hospital at Gangdong), currently has over 600 PR professionals from more than 130 hospitals and clinics nationwide as full members, and consistently holds regular seminars and online training every year.
