At this scholarship ceremony, a total of 47 local high school students, including those with outstanding academic performance and those who have shown academic improvement, received scholarships amounting to 26 million KRW.

The Uljin Love Scholarships awarded this time include two types: the Academic Excellence Scholarship, given based on outstanding results in the annual National Joint Academic Assessment held every June for all high school grades without limitation (100 million KRW for a combined grade of 3-4 in Korean, English, and Mathematics; 50 million KRW for a combined grade of 5-6), and the Hope Scholarship, which provides 500,000 KRW per student to those who have shown academic improvement (recommended by school principals).

Chairman Son Byungbok expressed, "We expect this will serve as an opportunity for local high school students to improve their grades through healthy competition and to enhance their affection for the region. We will continue to strive to create an excellent educational environment by thoroughly reviewing our scholarship programs," and requested ongoing interest and support for nurturing Uljin talent and advancing education.

Last June, the foundation provided Multi-Child Scholarships totaling 372 million KRW (500,000 KRW per student) to 744 children from multi-child families with two or more children enrolled in high school. In August, the first round of university student scholarships, totaling 1.532 billion KRW, was awarded to 1,019 students. The second round of university student scholarships will be distributed in October to those who did not apply in the first round or returning students who have not yet received a scholarship for the same academic year.
