A Series of Benchmarking Visits for Cheongsong-gun's '8282 Civil Complaint Handling Project'

Ulleung County Rapid Civil Complaints Response Team Visits Cheongsong County

Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province formed the 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Team in January 2023, implementing for the first time in the nation a project to address daily civil complaints for all residents.

Through this project, Cheongsong County resolves an average of 600 daily civil complaints from 220 households per month, receiving enthusiastic responses from residents.

Due to its popularity, inquiries about benchmarking Cheongsong County's 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Service are pouring in from local governments across the country.

Counties such as Danyang in North Chungcheong Province, Sunchang in North Jeolla Province, Sancheong and Hadong in South Gyeongsang Province, Gunwi in Daegu, and Yeongju in North Gyeongsang Province are currently promoting their own daily civil complaint handling projects by benchmarking Cheongsong County's 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Project.

In particular, on the 12th, the Ulleung County Rapid Civil Complaint Response Team visited Cheongsong County to learn from its know-how. An official from Ulleung County said, "Today, by visiting complaint sites with the Cheongsong County 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Team, we were able to learn not only technical aspects but also the pride in serving local residents and courteous ways to respond to complaints," expressing deep gratitude to the Cheongsong County 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Team.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I hope that Ulleung County will successfully incorporate the operational practices of Cheongsong County's 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Team into the unique characteristics of their region," and added, "We will continue to strive to develop policies that residents can truly feel, just like 8282."

The Cheongsong County 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Team is linked with the 'Visiting Cadastral Civil Complaint Response Team' and visits senior centers once a month to promote the 8282 Civil Complaint Handling Project and accept on-site applications.
