"We aim to assist in establishing promotional strategies by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). We dream of becoming an agent that also helps build relationships with the media."
Companies or government agencies have a strong desire for promotion. However, the smaller the scale, such as startups, the more they only have promotional needs without easily fulfilling them. Son Bomi, CEO of Starseed, explained, "Having witnessed many small businesses that do not know how to promote themselves, I wondered if systematizing the process would make it easier to approach, which led to the founding of the company in May 2022."
Starseed launched 'PulitzerAI' in the first half of this year. It is an AI writing tool that can generate press releases with just simple keyword input. By fine-tuning and optimizing large language models (LLMs), it helps create writing suitable for promotion. It utilizes various LLMs such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, Perplexity's Sona, Google's Gemini, Naver's HyperCLOVA X, and Upstage's SOLAR. The prompts entered for press release creation, the resulting outputs, and customer feedback are all datafied and built into the system to further enhance the AI model. It is possible to write press releases suitable for promotion, add images appropriate to the situation, and even use specific writing styles.

PulitzerAI supports multiple languages including Korean, English, Japanese, and French. When a prompt is written in Korean, it does not only generate press releases in Korean but can also translate them into English, Japanese, and French. It is also possible to input commands in English and generate press releases in Korean, Japanese, or French.
CEO Son explained, "Various words or sentences are converted into numbers that computers can understand, which express how semantically similar the words are." He added, "For example, 'apple' and 'sagwa' (the Korean word for apple) are different languages but have the same meaning; when converted into numbers, these two words are placed close to each other in the numerical space." Recognizing this technological capability, Starseed attracted pre-seed investment from the startup accelerator Venturesquare.
Starseed dreams of expanding services beyond press release generation with PulitzerAI. They are preparing a 'Media Bridge' service that analyzes the fields of articles mainly written by specific journalists, the distribution of article writing times, and helps build relationships with journalists through AI. Additionally, they are developing models for marketing writing such as copywriting, not limited to press releases.
Currently, Starseed's PulitzerAI is offered for free, but with the addition of services like Media Bridge, they plan to switch to a paid model within this month. They are preparing a monetization strategy where users pay a subscription fee monthly, aiming to continue growth through this.
CEO Son stated, "The number of users including startups, PR companies, and government agencies has surpassed 1,000, and our immediate goal is to make them 'true fans' of PulitzerAI," adding, "Beyond increasing users, we will strive to provide opportunities to access media and marketing more easily and affordably."
