Ulsan Ulju-gun to Host 'Drone Festival' on the 28th

Drone Light Show with 1,300 Drones at Jakcheonjeong Multipurpose Plaza

Various Events Including Performances by Kim Yongpil, Experiences, and Exhibitions

The '2024 Ulju Drone Festival', an experiential and performance festival themed around drones, will be held on the 28th at the Jakcheonjeong Multipurpose Plaza.

This event, hosted by the Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency and sponsored by Ulju County and the Ulju County Council, will present a variety of attractions and entertainment, including a drone light show, performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences.

In particular, the festival will culminate with Ulju's first-ever 'Drone Light Show' featuring 1,300 drones. Starting at 8:30 PM, for 15 minutes, countless drones will illuminate the night sky over Jakcheonjeong with vibrant lights. The show will deliver a deeply moving experience to the audience with its three-dimensional and dynamic production, set to beautiful music.

In addition, visitors will be able to see cutting-edge drone models operated by Ulju County, such as those used in the Drone Special Free Zone and Drone Demonstration City, on display.

A variety of hands-on programs for both children and adults will be available, along with a flea market and food truck zone to further enhance the festival experience.

There will be plenty of activities, from beginner-friendly drone experiences like pop drone, drone balloon, and drone fishing, to general programs such as retro arcade games, airplane making, LED balloon drawing, board games, Omok and Janggi, and bubble play. The experience zone will be open from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Adding to the romantic autumn evening, popular trot singer Kim Yongpil, beloved as a 'romantic singer', and Choo Hyukjin, a contestant from Mister Trot 2, will perform, along with a b-boy dance by Ulsan's representative breaking crew 'Kai Crew' and a performance by the Latin jazz band 'Five Brother'.

Just 10 minutes from the festival venue, the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center will host the Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival, Korea's only mountain film festival, from the 27th of this month to the 1st of next month, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy both the drone festival and the film festival.

County Governor Lee Soongeol said, "Ulju County, as a leading city in drones, has organized this event as part of fostering K-drone culture. I hope everyone enjoys a wonderful drone show along with various experiences and performances at the Ulju Drone Festival, where you can feel both the romance of September and the excitement of cutting-edge technology."
