Suyu World Travel Concept Friendship City Direct Market, Craft Flea Market, DJ Party, and More
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 20th that the first festival of the Suyu local brand enhancement project, 'WHAT Suyu Festa,' will be held around Suyu Station on Subway Line 4 in the Suyu commercial district from 4 PM to 9 PM on the 27th and 28th of this month.
The Suyu commercial district (around Nohae-ro 8ga-gil) has been conducting numerous events and projects to revitalize the commercial area since being selected for the Seoul local brand enhancement contest in March last year.
This year, marking the second year of the local brand enhancement project, the district will host 'WHAT Suyu Festa' with the concept of a Suyu world tour, allowing citizens to experience the diverse charms of the Suyu commercial district.
The festival will take place at the pedestrian-friendly street in front of Gangbuk-gu Office near Suyu Station, the district office plaza, and Sangsan Children's Park. Visitors can receive a Suyu passport at the immigration checkpoint (pedestrian-friendly street in front of Gangbuk-gu Office) for the Suyu world tour, explore various spots in the Suyu commercial district, and participate in a visit certification stamp mission event.
At 'WHAT Suyu Festa,' there will be ▲craft flea markets ▲experience programs ▲food booths from the Suyu commercial district ▲busking performances ▲silent DJ parties ▲mini-games ▲and direct trade markets with sister cities.
On the pedestrian-friendly street in front of Gangbuk-gu Office, the immigration checkpoint, food booths, craft flea markets, and Suyu goods sales booths will be operated. The Suyu goods sales booth will offer a distinctive diffuser called 'Summer of Bukhansan,' produced in the Suyu commercial district, at a discounted price.
To increase interest among the MZ generation, a cafe booth, busking performances, non-alcoholic cocktail shows, and silent DJ parties will be held at Sangsan Children's Park. Additionally, mini-games and one-day classes will be prepared throughout the event area to provide visitors with diverse and enjoyable experiences.
Mayor Lee Soon-hee stated, "We will continue to strive to establish the Suyu commercial district as a representative commercial area in Seoul that many people want to visit."
