‘2024 Gwanak Multicultural Festival’ Held

An Exciting Time to Experience Diverse Cultures at Gwanak-gu Office Plaza on September 28 at 11 AM
Full of Fun with Intercultural City Performances, Fusion Gugak Concerts, and Global Cultural Experiences

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the '2024 Gwanak Intercultural Festival' on September 28th at 11 a.m. in the Gwanak-gu Office Plaza to promote exchange and communication between local Korean and foreign residents.


Since 2008, the district has been hosting the Intercultural Festival for the 17th time to provide a platform for communication among local residents, multicultural families, and foreign residents.


Hosted by the Gwanak-gu Family Center, this event will be divided into two parts, offering a variety of attractions and enjoyable activities. Part 1 will begin with an exciting performance by the African dance team Tag, followed by the Intercultural Festival ceremony and a calligraphy performance, among other engaging events.


Part 2 will feature diverse experiential activities to experience intercultural exchange, including ▲ Korean culture experience (Cheongsachorong lantern making) ▲ Understanding and experiencing various world cultures (tattoo stickers, traditional games, caricatures, etc.) ▲ World musical instrument experience ▲ Multilingual picture book curation ▲ Photo booth sessions, and more.

Additionally, there will be various promotional booths such as ▲ Fusion Korean traditional music and magic shows ▲ Foreign resident counseling center ▲ CPR multilingual kiosk safety experience ▲ Resident information services.


Any resident of Gwanak-gu can participate in the festival, and applications can be made through the official Gwanak-gu blog or by scanning the QR code on the Gwanak-gu Family Center festival poster.
