On the 20th at around 8 a.m., the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul sent Park to the prosecution under custody on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act (psychotropic substances). When reporters asked Park, "Do you admit to using drugs collectively with other BJs?", "Did you give false explanations by denying drug charges earlier?", and "Is it true that you asked BJ Kim Mo (33) to buy drugs?", he denied the charges by saying "No" and then boarded the transport vehicle.

Park is suspected of receiving drugs such as ketamine from BJ Kim, a former gangster, last year and using them multiple times with acquaintances at his home and other places.

In March of last year, Park publicly admitted to drug use during a live broadcast and mentioned that he would surrender to the police. After the collective drug use controversy involving BJs arose, Park stated on his internet broadcast bulletin board on the 23rd of last month that "I will never do bad things after (saying I would surrender)." However, during the investigation into Kim's drug sales and use, the police detected circumstances indicating that Park had used drugs and continued their investigation.

Besides Park, the police have identified drug use suspicions involving another AfreecaTV BJ and about 20 people including executives and employees of the entertainment company they belong to, and are investigating them.
