Gyeonggi-do to Host Pet Industry Specialized Job Fair on the 4th of Next Month

Commemorating Animal Protection Day... Nationwide First Pet Job Fair Specialized for Companion Animals Held
Providing Valuable Information Exchange and Meeting Opportunities for Pet Companies and Job-Seeking Youth

Gyeonggi-do to Host Pet Industry Specialized Job Fair on the 4th of Next Month Promotional material for the '2024 Korea Pet Employment Expo'.

Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will hold the "2024 Korea Companion Animal Employment Fair" at Banryeomaru Yeoju, the largest companion animal complex cultural space in Korea, to commemorate the establishment of "Animal Protection Day" on October 4th. This is the first employment fair related to the companion animal industry in Korea.


Under the slogan "A Meeting of Opportunities, the Future of the Companion Animal Industry with Gyeonggi Province," this fair is open to students and professors from companion animal-related departments nationwide, company representatives, and residents of the province.


The fair will feature programs such as △Employment Special Lectures (inviting experts from various fields including companion industry and employment prospects, medical care, grooming, behavior, services, and products) △Company Promotion Booths (five industry zones: medical care, grooming, training, services, products) △Employment Preparation Room (personal color and makeup classes) △On-site Interview Room (on-site interviews with hiring companies) △Animal Welfare Center (promotion of animal welfare policies and adoption counseling).


The participating companion animal companies include 50 well-known companies (organizations) in the fields of medical care, education, grooming, services, and products, and group participation applications are being accepted from 92 companion animal-related departments nationwide. Gyeonggi Province expects that this first nationwide companion animal job fair will provide a valuable opportunity to connect the rapidly growing companion animal industry with educational institutions.


Lee Kang-young, Director of the Livestock Animal Welfare Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "As this is the first companion animal employment fair attempted by Gyeonggi Province, we hope it will help provide practical information in the companion industry field and create youth employment opportunities," adding, "Gyeonggi Province Banryeomaru will strive to lead not only the spread of the value of respect for life and the establishment of a proper companion culture but also the development of the companion industry."
