Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Jeollabuk-do Economic and Trade Promotion Agency (Director Yoon Yeo-bong) announced on the 19th that the rising company selected for the Jeonbuk Small and Medium Enterprise Growth Ladder Project, Poaw Skin Co., Ltd., has opened a standalone store 'TUPS' at the luxury street City Walk in Dubai.


According to the Jeonbuk Economic and Trade Promotion Agency, the Rising Company Development Project is part of the Growth Ladder Development System, a differentiated corporate development program unique to Jeonbuk. Through this support project, companies create technological and product advancement over three years and establish a mid- to long-term step-by-step growth system.

Poaw Skin Co., Ltd. was selected as a rising company this year. It was chosen as a Jeonbuk Growth Ladder company after overcoming high competition. The company is building infrastructure for settling in the Middle Eastern market through marketing support projects, IR material production support, and ESG support projects.


With the increasing demand for K-Beauty in the Middle East, the company developed basic cosmetics with moisturizing and anti-aging functions suitable for the climate through thorough Middle Eastern market analysis. Based on this, it opened the local store 'TUPS Skin Lounge' in Dubai, planning to provide cosmetics and esthetics simultaneously.


This store opening aims to strengthen customer contact points in Dubai, a major hub in the Middle East and a global landmark, thereby further expanding competitiveness in the Middle Eastern market. It is also expected to promote the excellence of K-Beauty and solidify its position in the Middle Eastern market with customized services for local consumers.


Woo Sang-mi, CEO of Poaw Skin Co., Ltd., stated, "Dubai (UAE) is a logistics hub for manpower and resources from the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, and a geographical key point connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe." She added, "We aim to grow into a global company based in Dubai and create diverse and positive changes brought by healthy skin worldwide."


Yoon Yeo-bong, Director of Jeonbuk Economic and Trade Promotion Agency, said, "We will continue to discover small and medium beauty brands in Jeonbuk Province with export competitiveness and do our best to support companies by conducting market analysis considering Middle Eastern cultures such as halal and vegan to firmly establish our position in the Middle East."
