Price Increase on 51 Items Including Yanggaeng and Wafer Sand
Some Snack Bread Prices Lowered to Minimize Consumer Burden
Tous Les Jours, operated by CJ Foodville, raised the prices of some purchased products due to increased logistics costs. Prices of certain products, such as cream bread, were lowered.
According to CJ Foodville on the 19th, Tous Les Jours increased the prices of 51 purchased products from manufacturers, including gift-type sheep products, milk, and beverages, by an average of 5.6% starting that day.
Accordingly, the Yogurt Wafer Sand and Three-flavor Yanggaeng Set are sold at 17,000 won and 19,000 won respectively, each up by 1,000 won. The price of Butter Chabre Cookie rose by 300 won to 6,000 won.
However, to minimize consumer burden, prices of main products such as bread for meals and snacks were frozen. Prices of some items, including Fresh Cream Bread, Peanut Cream Bread, and Pea Red Bean Paste Bread, fell by an average of 6.7%.
A CJ Foodville official explained, "We decided to raise prices as logistics and labor costs continued to rise to an unbearable level," adding, "To ease the burden on consumers, we lowered or froze prices of meal and snack breads."
