Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC) recently held a 'Sharing Love Bread' volunteer activity at the Hope Sharing Volunteer Center of the Busan branch of the Korean Red Cross on the 12th in celebration of the holiday, and delivered carefully made bread to elderly residents in vulnerable groups in the local community.
On the 12th, about 30 employees, including President Kim Yonghak, participated in the volunteer activity, which was organized to support the health and livelihood of elderly residents in need during the holiday season.
On this day, BMC executives and employees, under the guidance of experts, made around 400 pieces of bread such as red bean bread and nut sets, and delivered them with beverages to elderly residents spending the holiday alone, putting into practice their love for the community.
BMC employees who participated in this activity said, "It was enjoyable to take part in a special activity that we don't usually experience, and it was rewarding to share bread that we made ourselves."
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, stated, "Through this Sharing Love Bread event, I was able to feel the true value of sharing while making bread together with our employees," and added, "BMC will continue to promote a culture of sharing in the local community through various social contribution activities."
Busan Metropolitan Corporation has also been consistently carrying out various social contribution activities such as 'Sharing Love Briquettes', 'Sharing Love Kimchi', and 'Sharing Love Santa Expedition' to support underprivileged groups in the local community.
